What began as a small, family-run shop in Germany has evolved into a gold standard name in premium meat products around the world. Our journey from humble beginnings to international recognition has been fueled by an unwavering commitment to quality, authenticity, and the art of moment-making.

Founded in 1844, Johann Carl Freybe started the Freybe golden legacy with a single shop dedicated to producing handmade authentic German sausages. In 1955, we brought our craft to Canada, where our dedication to producing high-quality, flavourful meats has only grown. We believe that great food has the power to bring people together, and our philosophy is simple: to create products made by real people with real ingredients that elevate everyday moments into something a little more special.

Over the past 180 years we have earned over 600 international medals of culinary excellence for a variety of our products.
